For children of all ages and their caregivers. Join us for a fun morning full of stories, music, action and fun! This week's theme is winter!

Storytime starts at 10:15am, doors open at 10:00am. The first 15 minutes is a time to settle in, look at books with your child, play, and meet other families.

No registration is required but space is limited. Caregivers must attend with children. Siblings welcome.

Explore the wonders of circuitry with our collection of LittleBits, an innovative way to experiment and invent with electricity and its applications. This program will feature a short lesson followed by a chance to play with the LittleBits.

All children under 10 will need to bring an adult who will participate. When
you register, please indicate the name of the child (not the caregiver).

Monday, December 17
7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Get a little holiday cheer and join us for a sing-along of favourite Christmas carols. Lyric sheets provided. Songs will be led by a librarian, and accompanied on keyboard. 

Drop in, no registration. All ages, all voices, everyone is welcome! 

This sing-along will be repeated at McGill branch on Wed Dec 19.

NOTE: This is not a performance, this get-together is more fun when everyone sings together.

Construct a mini house using cardstock, popsicle sticks, puzzle pieces and other materials. Use your imagination to build your dream home!

Join Burnaby Public Library for the film screening of Frozen.

When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna's sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

Calling all builders! Kids ages 4 and up are invited to drop in anytime between 1:00pm and 3:00pm to play with the library's extensive LEGO collection.Caregivers can join the fun too!

Join Burnaby Public Library for the film screening of Paddington 2.

While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy's hundredth birthday, Paddington sees a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber's antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it's up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.

Join a Deaf storyteller and a children's librarian for stories, rhymes, and crafts presented in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English. This is a free drop-in for children of all ages and abilities, together with a parent or caregiver. All families are welcome! Interpreters will be present.

This program takes place on a Saturday once a month: January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, and May 11
