Community Readers' Theatre: Dickens' Christmas Carol

Sunday, November 19; Sunday, November 26; Saturday, December 2; Sunday, December 3
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

CALLING ALL READERS! Here's your chance to read a play of Dickens' "Christmas Carol" aloud! All readers age 10 to 100 are welcome! A fun way to bring in the holiday spirit.

A librarian will direct our reading of "A Christmas Carol" script, using Dickens' original language as adapted for the stage by David Lawver, and shortened to suit our number of readers. Come to the first rehearsal with an idea of which character(s) you would like to read. Scripts will be provided.

We will meet in the Cameron Recreation Centre's Maple Room. Please come to all three rehearsals:
Sunday, November 19, 1:00 - 2:30 pm
Sunday, November 26, 1:00 - 2:30 pm
Saturday Dec 2, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm (not 1:00-2:30)

On Sunday, December 3 at 1:00 we will "perform" for our friends, relatives and the public by reading aloud from our scripts while seated. Dress in your own red, green, gold, silver, black, or white solid colour clothes, or in your own costume if you wish.

FREE but space is limited: please register online, by calling 604 421-5454, or in person at the Cameron Library. Thanks to our partner, Cameron Recreation Centre.
