Perseus - Tufts University digital library of 'classics'; mostly Greek & Roman but also some English & American
Project Gutenberg - one of the largest sources of electronic books (as with most of these resources titles are limited to copyright free material, currently pre-1923 titles)

Atlantic Unbound - online version of Atlantic monthly magazine is a good source for current reviews & features.
Google's 'Reviews & Criticism' - click on 'Magazines & Newspapers' category for links to books section of many newsapers.
Guardian Books - UK newspapers' book site. See 'Top 10s' for authors' favorite books. Also good for reviews of recent books.
NYTimes Book Reviews - Includes an archive of full text reviews that goes back to 1996. Requires first time users to register (no charge).
