Small groups of two to eight can now book a dedicated space for group study or small meetings at Bob Prittie Metrotown. The space is located on the second floor of the library, and looks onto Burnaby's Civic Square. The room closes for privacy, includes two surge-protected outlets, and (like the rest of our library) has wireless internet available. This new space will mean a quieter open area for individual or quiet study on the second floor, while allowing groups to work collaboratively on projects, hold discussions, and study more comfortably with friends and colleagues.
The study space is free and available for same-day bookings by groups of two or more, for up to two consecutive hours per day. Sign up is done in person at the reference desk on the second floor at Bob Prittie Metrotown.
Our thanks go to Warner Bros. Entertainment who funded the building of the room in appreciation for the use of the Bob Prittie Metrotown Branch to film scenes for the television series Smallville.
