Children ages 5 to 12 are welcome to join us for informal chess games, facilitated by Curtis Lister of the Burnaby Junior Chess Club. This is a drop-in program and no registration is required, but space is limited - arrive early! Parents of children under 10 years old are asked to remain in the program room.

Calling all builders! Kids ages 4 and up are invited to drop in anytime between 1:30pm and 4:30pm to play with the library's extensive LEGO collection.Moms and dads can join the fun too!

Caregivers are required to accompany children under 10. Drop-in. No registration required.

Pop up in the parkBPL is out in your community!  We're hosting a Pop-Up Library at Forest Grove Park (beside Forest Grove School).  Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services' playground leaders will also be on hand bringing fun activities to kids and their parents, including Imagination Play Blocks. 

A Pop-Up Library is a small, satellite library where visitors can browse, borrow, and return library material.  We'll have books for all ages and you'll be able to learn about library services and register for a library card!
