Popsicle Stick Bridge Building Competition

Age: Elementary and secondary school students

Take on the challenge of building a model bridge using only 150 popsicle sticks, one sheet of contruction paper, and a bottle of white glue. Can you beat last year's winner? It withstood a load of over 400 pounds! Watch a video on YouTube to get inspired. Prizes are awarded for the strongest bridges.

How to enter: Go to the Metrotown Branch to register and pick up an official kit of bridge-building supplies. Kits will be available starting March 9 and a limited number are available. More information and complete contest rules [PDF]
