Join author Claudia Cornwall, as she discusses her new book, At the World’s Edge – Curt Lang’s Vancouver: 1937-1998 at McGill. Curt Lang was a legend in Vancouver and his interests spanned many worlds. He was a street photographer, he built boats and fished, and he later worked in the high-tech industry. Curt Lang’s life energetically parallels the evolving history of Vancouver from the hip subculture years to the electronic postmodern 1990s. At the World’s Edge includes more than 30 of Curt Lang’s unpublished photographs of Vancouver, as well as previously unpublished drawings, paintings and poetry.
Author Claudia Cornwall was a friend of Curt Lang and in this part biography, part memoir she draws on conversations during her (and her husband’s) 12-year friendship with Curt.
