Renewals

How do I renew materials?

Use the Internet

  1. Go to the patron login screen.
  2. Enter your library barcode and the last four digits of your home phone number.
  3. Click on the 'My BPL' tab and then the 'Checked Out' link on the sub-tab bar.
  4. Click in the box next to each item you wish to renew
  5. Click on the "Renew" button at the top or the bottom of the list of items.

See the "Note" below for our renewal policies.

Use the telephone

Call 604-293-0034.

Note: The Burnaby Public Library allows two renewals on borrowed items. If another patron has placed a request on an item you have out, you will not be able to renew it. Note that items are renewed from the date you requested a renewal, not from the date that they were due. If you have more than $10.00 in fines, you will not be able to renew your items.

Please Note: If you have the maximum number of items out (25) you will not be able to renew using the telephone. (This is a software problem that will be fixed in a later release). If you have 25 items out please renew using the online catalogue, or phone 604-436-5430 for assistance.
