Why work at Burnaby Public Library?

Burnaby Public Library (BPL) is an urban system of four busy branches – Bob Prittie Metrotown, Cameron, McGill and Tommy Douglas – serving a diverse and changing population of more than 215,000 and with an annual circulation of about 3,800,000.

BPL is big enough to give you opportunities to advance your skills, knowledge and career, yet small enough for you to know your colleagues in all four branches.

At BPL, you could be a member of a committed team of professional librarians and clerical staff who:

  • believe in the value of personalized service
  • strive to achieve a balance between excellent delivery of traditional services and openness to emerging trends
  • pride ourselves in the depth of our collections
